When I started Tim's 12 Tags for 2015 - due to challenges - I wondered if I would get all 12 done!!  I can't believe this is number 11.  I am sooooo soooo happy to have one more to go!!! Maybe I will do it early - eheheheh!!!! Imagine that!!!!

I followed Tim's examples the best I could. Unwittingly, I started out with smaller tags in Jan and since I wanted them to all look alike I have stuck to the smaller size.  BUT... it has made it more difficult to make it like Tim's example!

I didn't get a lot of pictures - had too much fun playing!!!

This was my background!

I added the foil with the glue n seal instead of the glue stick.

It was really fun making my pumpkin look puffy with the foam and stylus. It is smaller than Tim's pumpkin so not so easy to tell the puffs but they are there!

The AUTUMN die letters were all too big so I just used my cork another way! I DO love using these texture surfaces though.  The cork is perfect for this project!

I used the cork under the Count Your Blessings - which came from Echo Park Fall Reflections paper. Of course, you can tell that the word Autumn is also on cork.

The leaves are metal charms and there is some twine under the pumpkin that was stained with Ranger ink.

Below you can see there is dimension to the project!

And this it the back of the tag.  I am blessed - especially to have all of you to call friends and to share artwork with.  I enjoy seeing your fabulous creations each day.

As always - thanks bunches and bunches for taking time to stop by and see me. You have no idea how much it means to me.

One of these days I hope blogger will fix my "reply" button so I can thank you for your comments. I tried - no luck.

Big hugs. j.

It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

=======
===========
==============
=================
=====================

For me... the most wonderful time of the year is autumn and the very special Thanksgiving season!

But for my children and grandchildren Dec is the most wonderful time of the year.  Birthdays, Christmas, Santa and the Christmas Tree!!!! This is a scrapbook page "remembering" Christmas past.

This project is 15x15". It is mounted on wood that hubby retrieved from a wood pallet and white washed for me!

The paper is a 12 x 12" by Teresa Collins from Craft n Craftin' and began with a stencil using DecoArt Media Crackle Paste.

I accented the crackle with Ranger Distress Ink Faded Jeans.

Then added some Lindy's Stamp Gang - Scintillating Silver Glitz Spritz and Tweedle Dee Denim Flat Fabio

Some bling for the background with Stampendous Shaved Ice and Ranger Stickles!

And just had to have a tiny bit more bling so I added these very very small little stones with Ranger Glossy Accents!

After the background was finished I added black lace and some ribbon to the bottom.

The chipboard frames were gessoed and then painted with DecoArt Glamour Dust.

To add some dimension, I created a flower from Ranger Frosted Film. I just fussy cut it from the piece of film - trying to make the petals looks similar to the petals on the paper. Then I heated it with my heat gun to melt and bend the petals - glued them together with Ranger Glossy Accents and painted the flower with Ranger Watermelon Alcohol Ink.

Dark Red and Gold glitter paper was cut to surround the scene! and then glued all to the white wooden back.

The little town and Santa die cuts are from Impression Obsession. But I cut roofs from cardstock and painted it black to make my own little neighborhood! Then added gold glitter paper in the windows!  Shaved Ice and Stickles made the snow!  I drew in Santa's face!  Also added some shaved ice to the little ornaments.

The bow was made from American Crafts Elements Premium Ribbon. I added stripes with Liquid Pearls to another piece of ribbon from my stash so it looked similar to a candy cane!!!

The HOPE and JOY letters came from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Seasonal Paper Stash as well as the SPECIAL DELIVERY sign.

The drum, snowman and bear used to be button covers!

Here are a few close-ups of the completed project!

As always, thanks bunches and bunches for
your interest in my projects. I so glad you stopped by!
Hugs. j.

Very excited to join the following challenges:

Stamplorations
Artplorations Stencil Blog Hop

FLASH STENCIL LINKY PARTY! ____________________________

This wonderful Christmas mood board inspired me to make a home decor for my grandkids with their pictures on it because they believe that THIS is the "most wonderful time of the year"! My background is white boards similar to the ones behind your sign.  I used scrapbook paper that has the sentiment on it.  There are Christmas trees in the pictures of the children.  There are houses included as well as the color scheme of the mood board - blues, reds, whites, creams! There is not a heart on it but it was made from the heart! It was a fun project and I am excited to get it into the mail to the kids. It's much prettier in person... of course!!!

WHICH WAY IS UP? 30 x 30 Abstract Art Canvas

=====

=================
=======================

Seriously... this has been one of those days when I wondered....
Which Way Is UP??????????

So why not just name this painting in memory of the day!!?????

Hello all....
Joi@RR here with a bit of abstract fun for you.
AND ME!!!  This was just toooo fun!!!

This was done on a 30" x 30" canvas. You definitely can't tell it in the pictures so here it is with a soda can!

And of course it's much more eye catching in person!!

It is a mixed media canvas consisting of:

Caran de'Arch Neocolor II
Golden Fiber Paste
DecoArt Paints
DecoArt Andy Skinner "Tread" Stencil
StazOn Ink
Ranger Archival Ink
Faber-Castell 101 Collection Stencils
Faber-Castell Big Brush Pens
Prima Finnabair Clear Stamp
Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Little Labels
The Crafters Workshop - RP Quatrefoil Stencil
Donna Downey Studios - Live Inspired Stencil
My stash (no label)  - Star Stencil

Plus the huge metal heavy "square" from the barn!!!

I began by drawing the two funky grayish black lines using the Neocolor II.  Then added the Donna Downey scribbled writing stencil with DecoArt black - as seen below.

I always seem to need some bling so added silver with the Andy Skinner tread stencil.

Next came the Tim Holtz numbers stencil with black ink.

This is where it was.... after the "first round"!!!

Next came the stars with fiber paste. The star stencil was a no name  stencil that came in a "lot" I purchased!!

From here on... I just began adding things... so FUN!!!

Coming Along!!

Did you figure out how I made the rectangles?
They are just the stamp pads!!!

Lastly came the chevron type edge but I was never sure I really liked it - almost gessoed over them. Finally added a third roll and then they seemed better.  :)

I drew the arrows in myself with a ruler!!!

Above two rolls of chevrons - below three!!!

The outside edges of the canvas are 1.5" and they are painted black.

Here are some close-ups!

Thanks bunches and bunches for takin' time to stop by!
HUGS to all. j.

Thankful to join the following challenge:

-----------------------------------

Not Holiday themed (as are most right now) but was fun to just play with 2 stamps and 5 stencils for abstract art! It was fun to use so many stamps and stencils and still be able to see them all when finished!  Often times on my paintings - I use them but they blend in and are harder to recognize. FUN!!!

The first minute I saw this challenge post - it made me feel excited and inspired.  I could not wait to begin.  As for which one of the projects inspired me the most - wow - ALL of them! And I went LARGE - just as suggested.  I watched the videos in awe. And all the photos posted of abstract art were wonderful.  Perhaps Michael Lang but I also totally love the painting that was perhaps done by MaryAnn Wakely.  And of course, I always love everything that Marta does and Seth too.  So... how do I choose??  Every painting in your original challenge post was fabulous and all the posts afterwards were so inspiring too.  Thanks bunches for super inspirations. j.

Many times I use stamps and stencils in my paintings but in the end... sometimes they just don't show as stamps/stencils.  They just blend with the painting.  But this time... it was all about the stamps and stencils! It was so fun to play with them to make this abstract canvas. I couldn't seem to capture it well with my camera but it's bright, dimensional, nonsensical fun!!! j.
